HOW DO WE KEEP OUR PLAYERS SAFE?

We’ve even put in place Covid 19 precautions to keep you even more safe!

CHEDDAR WALKING FOOTBALL REVISED COVID GUIDELINES

- We have awaited Government clearance for sport gatherings to resume

- Anyone who has a temperature or other Covid-19 symptoms must not attend a session, and if they do, they must be sent home immediately

- We will consider the appointment of a club official to be responsible for all Health & Safety, to include compliance with these guidelines - WE, AS A CLUB, HAVE APPOINTED A DEDICATED HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

- We will limit players per session

- If possible, consider testing all players & refs - evidence of recent test to be provided. Each individual MUST look at this themselves

- Hand sanitisers to be available at every session.

- Avoid travelling to venue in groups in one car

- At our venue, play outside

- Players to come already changed and go home to shower

- Balls to be disinfected prior to each session

- Apply social distancing during warm-ups as far as possible

- Ensure game is played strictly as NON-CONTACT

- No handshakes or hugs

- Anyone considered to be continuing to cough or splutter will be asked to leave

- Any social drinks etc after sessions will also be socially distant

- Players will consider wearing of protective scarf, bandana or mask

- No sharing of drinks, whistles or pens or anything that could potentially infect others

- We will wear our own kit and retain the bib throughout the session. We will allocate personal bibs

- All bibs to be washed after each session by the individual

- All goalkeepers to wear gloves - these must be washed after each session and outfield players should consider the use of gloves

- Dedicated first-aiders must wear protective gloves and masks when treating injuries - WE, AS A CLUB, HAVE APPOINTED A DEDICATED FIRST AIDER

- All sessions to be refereed by a non-playing referee if available

- We will consider using 3 touch rule to control close activity

- We will reduce vociferous interactions during play (shouting as opposed to talking increases the risk of viral infection)

- We have adapted player groupings as far as possible to keep discreet groups and lower numbers e.g. 5-a-side as opposed to 7-a-side

- As far as possible our members will be asked to install Govt smart app when it is available

Have fun and play football, but in a safe, fun, environment - suitable for ALL
